Abstract

A quantum neutrino is an electrically neutral lepton with very small mass and weak interaction strength. Neutrinos are produced in nuclear reactions, particle decays, cosmic sources, and high-energy experiments. Their flavor oscillations show that neutrino flavor states are quantum superpositions of mass states, making neutrinos important probes of physics beyond the simplest Standard Model picture.

Overview

Neutrinos interact through the weak interaction and gravity. Their quantum flavor states can oscillate as they propagate.
