Johannes Rydberg (1854-1919) was a Swedish physicist known for the Rydberg formula, which generalized regularities in atomic spectral lines.
The Rydberg constant and spectral formulas became important evidence for quantized atomic structure. In the Quantum Collection, Rydberg is linked with hydrogen spectra and atomic energy levels.
