Known for Popular science books; Q is for Quantum

John Gribbin (born 19 March 1946) is a British science writer and astrophysicist by training.[1]

Career and work

Gribbin has written extensively for general audiences on astronomy, cosmology, quantum theory, climate, and the history of science.[1][2]

In the QFT further-reading list he appears through Q is for Quantum: Particle Physics from A to Z, a reference-style popular-science guide to quantum and particle-physics concepts.[3]

His role in the Quantum Collection is therefore different from that of the technical textbook authors: he provides a general-reader route into the vocabulary and historical setting of quantum physics.[3][2]

Selected works

  • In Search of Schrödinger's Cat.
  • Q is for Quantum: Particle Physics from A to Z.
  • Science: A History.
