Known for Work in particle physics; quantum field theory texts

Francisco José Ynduráin (23 December 1940 - 6 June 2008) was a Spanish theoretical physicist.[1]

Career and work

Ynduráin worked in theoretical particle physics and quantum field theory and was associated with the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.[1][2]

His scientific writing included both research work and textbooks. In the QFT page he is linked through Relativistic Quantum Mechanics and Introduction to Field Theory.[3]

The textbook introduces relativistic quantum mechanics before moving into field-theoretic ideas, which makes it a natural bridge between one-particle relativistic theory and quantum fields.[3]

Selected works

  • Relativistic Quantum Mechanics and Introduction to Field Theory (1996).
  • The Theory of Quark and Gluon Interactions.
