François Englert (born 1932) is a Belgian theoretical physicist associated with the symmetry-breaking mechanism that gives mass to elementary particles. He shared the 2013 Nobel Prize in Physics with Peter Higgs.

In the Quantum Collection, Englert is linked with the Higgs mechanism and the Higgs boson.
